Never saw anyone like me of a different color and culture until I saw Carlos at the Orpheum in Boston in 79. I was a long gone dead head by then and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Me esta un voluntaria ahora por los Migrantes. Realized I had to aprender Español to be useful. Muchos amora a ustedes. Me hacer communidad por ustedes. Mas y mas y mas amable gringos. Muchos ayudar. There are plenty of recordings of Carlos playing that song. It’s getting to see him play that song in the late 70’s & throughout the eighties was magical. In the the nineties he changed up the ending that I really couldn’t understand why he did that.

Do you see the guitar 🎸 Carlos is playing on the Brotherhood track? A Gibson L6-S with blue butterflies 🦋 on it, "Borbelletta". I've owned it since 1982 when he had it for sale at Leo's Music in Oakland for $400! Its musical history I still can't believe it. Carlos used it 1974-75 live and on the Borbelletta record.
